Does anyone know of a good source for reasonably priced and complete (200+ feet) RGBM tables for deco diving? I hate the navy tables and am looking for a good set of backup tables. I am planning on using v-planner to plan my dives and I will create a set of bailout tables from v-planner, but I would like a seperate backup as well.

Dear gentlegiant:

One could start with abysmal.com .

Perhaps our readers could suggest alternatives.

Guys,

Complete RGBM deco tables (heliox, trimix, air,
nitrox, constant ppO2 for various diluents, etc)
will be released by NAUI Tec shortly -- and are tested
(last 3 - 4 yrs). Rec RGBM Tables have been released
by NAUI and are totally simple to use (not like USN
group ones). Check with NAUI

Or contact me directly at brw@lanl.gov and maybe
we can talk.

You can also generate your own RGBM schedules off
ABYSS -- though not constant ppO2. ABYSS RGBM
is the only TESTED and self-consistent software around
which does deep stops naturally and safely without
penalizing the diver in the shallow zone with unnecessary
Haldane deco. Ad hoc gradient factors and Haldane
deep stops are not necessarily self consistent because
they only address dissolved gas. Many of you know
and/or have heard this before. See the latest issue
of Advanced Diver Magazine and the Deep Stops article.

All of the above is true for the tested and released NAUI
RGBM recreational air and nitrox Tables ( 0 - 10,000 ft altitude)
and certainly for the upcoming tested and soon to be released
NAUI RGBM Tec and Deco Mixed Gas Tables, some with and
without pure O2 switches at 20 fsw.

Good and safe diving always,
