You guys be sure to have a nice piece of scrap wood on your bench before punching out the seats, otherwise you will have nice little decorative rings cut in your work bench.

I use a magazine so I'm working with a flat, smooth surface. If you use a "Good Housekeeping", it makes a bit of noise but the confetti seems to clean up easier.;)

My work bench is also my dining table. The wife loves it. :D

Me too; It looks especially cool when I chuck an eating utensil up in the portable vice at dinner time. :cool2: Now if I could just mount the grinder on the other corner.

I like that, use "Good Housekeeping" for the stamp mat. :rofl3:

Taking the above suggestions to heart, I will be using my wife's favorite magazine, on her her favorite table, using my favorite (largest) hammer.... I'll let you all know how it goes....

But just in case: Do any of you have a sofa I can sleep on :rofl3:

Best wishes.

I have plenty of room....and know a good lawyer. :)

You are welcome to stay at our house too, but I don't know any good lawyers.

Actually, I'd be in so much trouble with "She Who Must Be Obeyed" that I'd only be safe in a neutral country.... that means Zung's sofa I guess :rofl3:

Seriously, thanks again to everyone for this thread (and other great topics).

Best wishes.

Nice thread.
Great info.

I need to solve the last major unknown, so I took my #1 son's AL LPO (Low Performance Octo) apart and measured the seat:

Aqualung #106738 seat (measured with my new vernier type caliper):

diameter: 6.98mm/.275"
thickness: 2.16mm/.085"

The cavity itself is 6.0mm/.236" by 2.0mm/.079" (measure with my old caliper, accurate to about .1mm only).

So the AA88 is a perfect fit, and the awap, the A119 and the A149 should work too.
Here are the updated AL charts:
