Hello!

I've given up looking for the Volo Race FF fins in my region...they just don't have my size. :depressed: But while I was looking around for other fins, one instructor recommended me the Cressi Rondine A fins. I do research dives and I was told that these fins are good as they are positively buoyant. :idk:

Has anyones used them before? How's it like? Is it worth getting? :)

I'm not ordering internationally because I'm going off for my dive this weekend and I don't have the time to wait for shipping... :)

Been diving with the Rondine A's for 5 yrs and love them. I replaced the straps with springs. They are not the greatest for travel if you want to have them as carry on. They're 25" long. Plenty of propulsion with no noticable leg strain. I highly reccomend them.

Silveraven,
The Rondine A's are definitely not positive. They are slightly negative. I have about 400 dives on a pair and I can see why they are not particularly popular. Many people find them rather stiff, but if you have strong legs and a powerful kick, definitely not the norm among recreational divers, they are excellent in currents and for maneuvering. I like them.

I also have a pair of Gara 2000's, which I use for spearfishing. I really like them as well, but they are a PITA for travel.

Silveraven,
I hear divers on Scubaboard say they would use freedive fins, but they are to hard to travel with, etc.
I don't get this at all. If you have a large size suitcase, I am pretty sure you can fit your freedive fins in it, with your clothes. If not, then you just buy one of the many gear bags made for Freediving, instead of the bogus short ones made for scuba. My Rob Allen gear bag has room for 2 sets of freedive fins, plus my halcyon bp/wing and reg, plus wetsuit...I can fit canister light, weight belt, and lobster bag etc., and there is a dedicated protected pocket to put masks and snorkels in.

If a person decides they need a new laptop, I don't see how the case for their old laptop is even slightly relevant to the choice for the best laptop today. With fins it is even more important to choose the best, and it boggles my mind to hear non-diving based reasons for not doing this....
