Trip Report Return to Paradise: Our Third Expedition at Sorido Bay Resort

Thank you for your kind comment. We were in SBR in January 2025 again and planning to go there in October as well. This is our favourable resort. Just be aware that there was some coral bleaching in Raja Ampat this year. They do two dives in the morning, and then you can do an afternoon and a night dive, if you wish. They provide one dive guide per bungalow. Most dive sites are 10-20 min away, some - just 5 min, and a few dive sites - at about an hour away, like Fam Islands and Melissa Gardens. Regarding Bunaken, it is my understanding that it is mainly wall diving. Another option in Northern Sulawesi is Murex Bangka Resort. I am going there in September, by the way. They have excellent management, who used to work at SBR for many years.
