We (BSAC) teach basic rescue in our elementary course. These skills are built on at the next level so that our second level divers are capable of a full Controlled Buoyant Lift, tow (with rescue breaths) and landing. Our next 2 levels introduce oxygen administration and practical rescue management so that when they eventually become a BSAC Advanced Diver (no PADI equivalent) they are capable of undertaking a rescue from 20m, but more importantly, at this level, of managing an incident.

Kind regards
