Hi everyone!

My name is Dan aka DMC_96. I'm a Rescue Diver and an AAUS Scientific Diver with 100 dives. I'm originally from Rhode Island and was certified here about 6 years ago, though most of my diving has been in the kelp forests of Monterey, CA. I recently graduated from school, and am now back at home for the summer and interested in doing some local diving. Unfortunately, none of my local friends are scuba-certified so I haven't been able to find any dive buddies.

So, if anyone here is interested in diving in Rhode Island, southeastern Connecticut, or southern Mass, please let me know so we can go diving! Or, if you know of someone else in the area who might be interested in diving with me, please forward this along to them. My goal is to do at least 10 dives this summer, because I need 12 dives a year to maintain my scientific diver certification (and so far I only have 2). If anyone is interested, please send me a message!

Also, if anyone is interested in collecting tropical stray fish as part of their diving, please reach out because I would love to catch some tropicals as well!

Best,
Dan

Hello from a fellow Rhode Islandah! I'm just getting back on my feet after recovering from an injury. Trying to figure out scheduling for the summer as far as work and family but will keep you in mind if I head out to the coast.

Welcome to SB. Its a wonderful place to be between dives. Try calling some dive shops and see if they can help you. Also try the regional forum on SB.
