The page is being served by scubaboard (same one running this one) - I'm not sure what database function have set up for these websites... I'll have to look into that

vbulletin is PHP and mysql based, so assuming you are on the same physical server, you should have the support. If you are on a separate server at the same location, that might not be the case.

I wasn't aware that Scubaboard was doing that for all the different dive groups. That's awfully generous of them to provide the hosting, considering that kind of hosting (mysql/php support) runs relatively expensive per month...

Thanks Scubaboard!

I think this board should do fine for discussion type stuff. i have just implemented the javachat room. its up and running so if you feel like dropping in please do. www.swampdivers.com it is run thru www.freejavachat.com and is basically a java based IRC client that i can implement for free and it is really easy. i would like to have more rooms based off four or five regions of texas.

I will be using either java or dhtml for the photo gallery but not sure. i dont have a real preference just whatever i can find the easiest and the quickest. It no big deal really.

The map however may take some time to develop. i am going to print all the suggestions from the board. if you want to talk to me personally use instant messaging

This is a GREAT start guys but all those who viewed (90 last count) let's ALL put some input into this...

They don't have a web site yet. I'm still working on it when time allows, but there is a dive shop in Hillsboro, Tx. 90% of the staff lives in the DFW area and most of our students come from there. We are a PADI 5Star IDC Center.

Divers Isle Training Center
Suite 101
1450 Industrial Loop
Hillsboro, Tx. 76645
254-582-0692

They are off of exit 370 where I-35W and I-35E join. Located on the south side of the rode about a mile west of the interstate. Only about 20 miles from Lake Whitney.

I've put together a list of the some of the DFW diveshops, dive clubs, and dive sites on our clubs website at: http://www.divingrebels.org/scubalinks.htm You're welcome to utilize anything from there that you seem fit.
