I have an older Sherwood BC that I'd like to get a larger cummerbund for. Over time I have allowed the mid section to expand a little more than I'd like :shakehead . Is it possible to order a larger cummerbund?

Thanks, Mike

I know you can buy cumberbund extenders, though probably not ideal. If you know someone who sews well they could even make one given the right fabric and enough velcro...

Man I wish you would have posted a few days ago. :11: I sold my old Sherwood BC cumberbund for $5 yesterday on Ebay. I would have given it to you for free.

I replaced my cumberbun with a nylon strap and buckle. It works much much better and it's alot easier to adjust underwater as well. :)

If it's like most BCs just extend the webbing strips where they run round your back.
Much easier to sew 2 strips together than to mess around with the complicated velcro part at the front.

I like the nylon strap idea, but I can't seem to find one that fits. Does anyone have a link to an already made one? I also want to use a bukcle instead of those clips, is that a good idea?

Hey guys thanks for the ideas. I'll go with the nylon strap/belt. I'll probably replace the BC in the next year or so and try to get back to my waist size of 15 years ago when I bought it! :D Actually I'm not too far off, only 20 pounds heavier.

Check with you LDS. They have cummerbund extenders. They should be relatively inexpensive and certainly less that a new cummerbund.
