Replacement Cummerbund

I have an older Sherwood BC that I'd like to get a larger cummerbund for. Over time I have allowed the mid section to expand a little more than I'd like :shakehead . Is it possible to order a larger cummerbund?

I know you can buy cumberbund extenders, though probably not ideal. If you know someone who sews well they could even make one given the right fabric and enough velcro...

Replace it with a nylon webbing strap.

Man I wish you would have posted a few days ago. :11: I sold my old Sherwood BC cumberbund for $5 yesterday on Ebay. I would have given it to you for free.

I replaced my cumberbun with a nylon strap and buckle. It works much much better and it's alot easier to adjust underwater as well.

If it's like most BCs just extend the webbing strips where they run round your back.
Much easier to sew 2 strips together than to mess around with the complicated velcro part at the front.

I like the nylon strap idea, but I can't seem to find one that fits. Does anyone have a link to an already made one? I also want to use a bukcle instead of those clips, is that a good idea?

Hey guys thanks for the ideas. I'll go with the nylon strap/belt. I'll probably replace the BC in the next year or so and try to get back to my waist size of 15 years ago when I bought it! Actually I'm not too far off, only 20 pounds heavier.

Check with you LDS. They have cummerbund extenders. They should be relatively inexpensive and certainly less that a new cummerbund.
