Replaced only the 2nd stage seat in my Apeks after one year of use and noticed a dramatic increase in breathing sensitivity today...all other o-rings appeared to be in fine shape...looks like the cone crease over time must impact performance..

In my experience, most balanced regs benefit from having the seat replaced annually - regardless of whether or not the company allows a 2 year service interval.

Replacing o-rings on the other hand does not usually affect performance, but they are cheap and o-ring replacement is cheap insurance against a leak. In particular, the o-ring on the second stage end of the LP hose is well worth replacing as it is more or less dynamic as well as being prone to abrasion from silt and salt that may find its way into the connection. And leaks there tend to be on the large size as when the o-ring fails it usually results in about 1/3 of the o-ring being blown out.
