Removing name painted on a steel tank

Didn't know where to ask this, but if you wanted to paint a fin or two, white or gray,
to use for White Balance setting of a camera, what might work that would be flexible,
waterproof, good color choice ect.?

MEK works great off aluminum and paint.

Also something they sell in Walmart in the automotive department called "Aircraft stripper". It's in a spray can. you spray it on and It causes the paint to bubble and you wipe it clean.

FYI, Wear saftey glasses and rubber gloves while spraying and a bandana over your mouth. You breath this, get it on your skin, or in your eyes, and you cry like a baby.

One more thing. thouroughly wash tank with soapy water afterwards. You want to stop the reaction of the paint stripper so it won't pit the aluminum.
