Hi. I purchased 2 used Luxfer AL80 tanks and would like to make them look better because of my OCD.

Is there a way to remove these "stains"?

See the attached picture.

They look to be bare aluminum, so not really unless you scrub them down and clear coat them or polished them. But with there will be some discoloration with usage eventually.

Paint the tank :)

Those tanks look awesome, brother.

They actually look pretty good!

Character...

Yup. I’d resist the urge to try and pretty it up. Used dive gear looks used. You give into the OCD now...you’ll just have a never ending battle keeping them looking pretty.

Personally...I like the “character” of used diving gear. It shows that the stuff has actually been used. Ex. My wing was originally a nice bright black and red. Now it’s a dingy black and red-ish black. There’s nothing wrong with it...it’s just got that “been around” look to it.
