Maui isn't much better. Tourism is lagging this summer. The local government is forcing many small businesses to struggle these days here with all kinds of crazy new regulation. My electric bill just jumped up almost $200 this month. That's from $500 to almost $700 and I don't even use the dishwasher, oven, or AC!! My friend says his electric bill went up to over $900 this month! I don't know what's going to happen in a couple of months when everyones credit gets maxed out and they can't pay their bills. It's kind of scary.
I'd think real hard before moving here right now. How much money did you say you have saved already?? My advice is it had better be A LOT! Best of luck to you.
