I need to get my regulators serviced in Las Vegas. Ayone know of Apex dealers/service in the area?

That was not very helpful, you should have advised him to seek out a dealer. I'm sure there are plenty of dealers in Las Vegas.

AL's dealer search engine isn't very friendly as it only takes zip code, not sure if that was because of my browser. I used zip code 89109. Sorry, I can't post a link yet. Sport Chalet showed up but I'm not sure if that's a good place to get services. I would prefer a diver shop.

For what it's worth... a dive shop doesn't have to sell the equipment to be authorized to service it. There's an excellent lds about 2 miles from my home and they are able to get service kits for most regs. For example, they don't sell oceanic but they were able to get all the parts needed to rebuild my omega.

Thanks all for the info. Just wanted to see if anyone knew before I went home and made phone calls. :D

Sorry Operatortoks....some people on this board get sarcastic when they don't know the answer to a question…..I assure you I'm not one of them.(I actually did try to find an Apex dealer in LV, but busted.)

Good luck,

if you can Wait t'il November I'm sure you will be able to find one... or 5000. Dema is in Vegas this year.

Coralcruise : this is True, but they are not "authorized" usually some wheeling an dealing happens between LDS for parts for service. my non Oceanic Shop was able to get the Cold water kit for my DX4, but they got it from an other shop they send Drysuits for repair/Testing.

I recently had the lds down the street from me rebuild 2 omega 2nd's, fully serviced an octo, an oceanic 1st stage and checked my suunto gauges and computer battery. Total charge for everything including the parts to rebuild both omegas $135. They are not an oceanic or suunto dealer.

The lds that I have been using to service my reg for the past 20+ years charged me $100 last may for a regular annual service on my reg and oct which included parts. They are an ocean dealer.

When I compared the amount charged for parts for the annual service (not the rebuild) between both stores, the store that does not sell oceanic actually charged me less for the same parts!

I do know that even though I know the owners of both shops, the one that just rebuilt my reg will be servicing my gear from now on!
