I owned one. They are good, but there are a lot of regs that are better and cheaper in my mind. Plus they tend to be pricey for service. I never had mine deeper than about 140 feet, and at that point my Zeagle breathed much smoother. I’m told Poseidons don’t start to breathe really nice until you are very deep.

Pretty much the same experience here. The service is pricey, and Poseidons seem to be a bit finicky- they require the occasional trip to the LDS to have the IP or cracking effort adjusted. Also, not too many shops have the service kits in stock. Poseidons tend not to be used by too many average recreational divers, so shops in those kinds of locations may not be able to service.
IMO, for the money there are other, better breathing and easier to service regs out there. Zeagle, ScubaPro, Dive Rite, Oceanic and Apeks come to mind.

Jimmer- I didn't forget our earlier conversation- I've just been a bit too busy to think about it!

I have never owned one so I cannot give you any first hand info.
I have Apeks regs and love them. I know many people that also dive Legends and love them too. Then there are some buddies who use Scubapro's and love them. I also have an old Aqualung Micra that I use for teaching. I have had that reg for about 8 years and it still works flawlessly. Bottom line is there are many good regulators on the market and I would suggest you look at a variety of regulators before making your decision...especially if you are intent on buying a regulator in the pricier range.

No easy service in the Caribbean or the Pacific Basin, Indian Ocean, Red Sea, etc.

If you plan on far-flung recreational dive travel, buy a Chevy... a Sherwood.

Don't misunderstand, I got one of their regs and the BeSea. I travel often with that BC when I'm doing shore dives, but the reg I use for chilly willy dips in Lake Michigan.
