All,

I have a question: Should I take my regulator to LDS to switch out gauges for my new ai computer or is this something I can do? This is something that I would like to learn and according to videos and articles, something that many people do themselves.

Thank you all in advance.

When I first got my won equipment, I was terrified about playing with those hoses and connections. Now I know it is no big deal. To remove a hose, put a wrench to it and take it off. To put a new one on put a wrench on it and turn it until it stops. No need to tighten it down really hard. Just make sure the O-ring compresses. To take a plug out or in, just use the appropriate Allen wrench. That's all there is to it.

I can do it easily, and if you knew my overall mechanical skills, you would realize what a statement that is.

So you want to add the AI sender unit to the first stage? That is pretty easy. You take out a HP plug screw the unit in and snug it with a wrench. Sometime the unit will interfere with the first stage and a bushing is needed. My LDS had those for a few dollars. Don't over tighten. As long as you cannot back it out by hand you are OK.

If you can screw in a bolt without cross threading it you can change a regulator hose.
Just go easy on the torque - You're not trying to build a bridge!
