The swivel issue has been hashed and rehashed many times. If DIR said "no swivels", JJ and a lot of others in the WKPP would have to change out their regs.

I have not seen it hashed or rehashed other than some DIR divers expressing their personal sentiments about the swivel turrets (unnecessary failure points). Does JJ use them for his backgas?
 
I believe (someone correct me if I'm wrong) that he uses MK25s, which have a swivel.

edit: I use RG2500s as well for my singles setup but will probably get the Salvo non-swivel 1st stages when I put my doubles together. :)

That's what I've been using (DR for singles and deco bottles) and Salvo SR1's for doubles. I still use the DR balanced second for my primary because the Salvo SRS seconds are unbalanced (not that I have complaints about them). My girlfriend used the RG2500's on doubles during our cave class and they worked fine for her.
