Reg on Necklace/Long Hose .... Clang, Clang

Maybe that the OP is in the prone position with his head down.

Head should be up, almost touching the first stage.

I use the Extreme Exposure reg necklace. It really is just a piece of bungie tied like the video showed. Nice part is a SB member threw it in with a purchase of a couple tanks because he knew I was tying to move to a hog setup.

Used it for the first time this past weekend on my AOW checkout dives. Only had deep and nav left. It worked out very well. No one got in an OOA situation that I needed to rely on it, but it was there in case. I did not notice it banging on my primary reg. I still need to change my hoses over though. That will come next. Going with Miflex and it sounds like my wife wants them as well.

Since nobody was nice enough to point it out, I wonder if the OP has thought maybe the necklace might be too long.....

I think the key is that, while you are diving, your neck is extended so that your face is perpendicular to the bottom. Your primary reg is in your mouth, pointing forward; the necklace reg is hanging from your neck, well below your face. There is no problem with the two regulators banging together. A necklace which is too long will not cause the regs to bump -- to the contrary, it will make the necklace reg hang even further below the primary.

Not judging or anything else but I am wondering what makes you want to switch to the neck hung backup and the long hose?
