Here is how it happened. On the dive I deflated the wing on the way down, once I reached the bottom and try to adjust my bouancy & trim by adding air to my wing as normal it didn't work no air in the wing, the power inflator seems to be ok because I can hear the sound of inflation however the wing didn't inflate at all. I ask my buddy (Vie) to do the visual inspection and he confirmed there was no air in the wing, we aborted the dive, I swam up with no problem. Strangely when I inflated it on the surface it works! I did several dive afterward that day and it didn't happen again. Post dive the team sat down and have a look at the wing and found nothing wrong with it. So back to the topic, even in the worse case I could have always use my SMB to bring my self up safely.

That's really wierd... did you try orally inflating at depth?

Kev--would you be willing to post pictures of how you have your life raft attached to your backplate? As to your EPIRB, where are you going to attach that? It doesn't seem 'DIR'!

Kev, I use a PLB ( Epirb ) also, a Aquafix 406 PLB. Where do you mount your's? I was thinking of but mounting it where I keep my reel on the Halycon BP with Eclipse 40 lb wing

Probably going to put it in a Fastfind Dive Canister, stowed in a small Dive Rite Mask Pouch that can slide onto the waist belt of my BP. . .

A Fastfind Dive Canister seems pricey..what would be the possibility of putting it into a canister meant for an HID? Perhaps those would be slightly cheaper?
