Update: I dove Redondo this summer.....WOW!!!!! I saw so many critters, including a juvenile wolf eel (I've only seen mature adults), beautiful nudies, red octopus, GPO's (juveniles), beautiful squid egg sacks, .... I'm hooked! We entered to the south of the dock and stayed above 60 feet. Redondo will see me again!!!
 
South side has become almost as popular as the "regular" dive site to the north since I put a small rock reef down there a couple years ago. It's been a nice study in what a bit of structure does for attracting marine life. At present it's mostly covered in kelp ... I'm looking forward to seeing it emerge from the kelp starting about mid-October, as the water starts to cool and the daylight hours shorten.
