I heard of that dfg rule before but I always see them taking squid on weekends. Even if there is a law,I guess dfg is too busy and short handed to catch them.

Yeah we drove up from SD! We had never experienced the squid on such a scale. Even with 5-8 feet of vis it would have been pretty good... I guess those batrays really mucked it all up! We'll try again next year.

The lifeguard said they found a full purse on the beach and speculated she committed suicide by drowning. I'm not sure if the woman is still missing; hopefully she's found ALIVE!

Too bad vis wasn't better. We have had 50+ in the Canyon before. But not with 7 boats variously anchored, lots of squid and bat rays.

Hmmmmm.... Not sure how they get from full purse to suicide, but I sure hope it's not true (or if it is, I don't find the body)
