Well, I disagree. If they come here and market themselves, not paying for it, they should be prepared to answer questions here too, in public.

Well, you are acting like an arrogant, self-entitled jerk. They can be on a boat, on holiday, etc., and you can always get better treatment from others by being nice. I often contact vendors or service providers on SB directly in PM or email and get all the information I need from them and more, without me having to turn into a prick.

Excuse me? I just asked a simple question. How did I suddenly become a jerk? In what way have I not acted nice? You're out of line.

It is probably a steel hull? Does it matter?

Assuming the question was concerning safety, then the boat designs, construction quality, maintenance, safety equipment (or the lack of) and crew training are the major contributing factors, not the hull material itself

The 16 or so vessels that capsized, burnt, sunk, run aground etc. in the last two years in Egypt are a mix of both types.
Most Egyptian Red Sea liveaboard boats have a wooden hull. Everything else being equal, a steel hull provides more stability during long open-sea crossings, such us when sailing to The Brothers overnight. I'd like to emphasise the "everything else being equal".
