Something tells me you're not going to get an answer ...
It is probably a steel hull? Does it matter?

Assuming the question was concerning safety, then the boat designs, construction quality, maintenance, safety equipment (or the lack of) and crew training are the major contributing factors, not the hull material itself

The 16 or so vessels that capsized, burnt, sunk, run aground etc. in the last two years in Egypt are a mix of both types.

Why would you assume it is a steel hull? I believe it matters for many, for safety yes but also comfort in high seas. And I think just avoiding questions, expecting to blatantly push commercial interests on the board yet ignoring some members questions is rather rude. Please do not try to school me and be some kind of judge of which questions are legit and which are not.

I don't think that @Jai Bar was doing this at all. I think that there is a misunderstanding here. He was offering his opinion based on his experience, but didn't mean to attack or offend anyone. That's not how I read his post.

Who was avoiding your questions?

There’s an operator pushing their boat in this and a few other threads. I have repeatedly asked for information and they keep on ignoring the question. I’d be very careful. It is not very assuring.

I apologize if I was misunderstood: was not trying to judge or school anyone from asking questions: I just offered my opinion about the vessel from memory seeing it on dock a few years ago, but I may be wrong- for sure it is better to ask the operator for a proper answer

And also it is my personal opinion the Egyptian Liveaboards safety is in many instances sub-standard, regardless of hull material or the superlatives written in their websites ("Ship was built for diving in comfort" bla bla bla). This is from personal experience in dozens of them- some of which are now at bottom of the sea. Sure, I don't even remotely claim to have been in all of them to judge their safety standards, far from it, just the ones I've been and others seen on the marina.

I completely agree that any operator blatantly promoting his business yet not answering questions appears a shady behavior. And completely agree about steel being better comfort in high seas, although some of these vessels are so wrongly designed that they suffer too.

Cheers and safe diving👍

Send them an email and check their response. You only asked your question yesterday; I wouldn't expect them to be monitoring SB 24/7.

I'm patient. But another member, @Parlem also noted the pretty obvious silence and reluctance from them to answer and said "Something tells me you're not going to get an answer". They've been on here several times after I asked (3 times). If they want to promote their business for free to us members, they need to answer questions we might have. It's a pretty straightforward and simple deal.

The proper thing to do is to contact them on their website.
