I am planning on doing a liveaboard in the Red Sea with my daughter and her husband. He has less than 50 dives and not very experienced. My daughter and I are OOW divers with plenty of experience. Looking for a liveaboard that is high end , reputable and does an itinerary in area where there are not real strong currents. Also if it relatively safe to do liveaboards in Red Sea for Americans

I can't give a comparison to others, but I dove with Allstar Liveaboards on the southern Red Sea route and wasn't too impressed. The boat, crew, and all of that was perfectly fine but to be honest I didn't get as many dives in as I would have liked (and several others I was with). It was partly due to night diving not being allowed in certain areas, but I think we could have easily fit in another day dive with everyone on Nitrox. That being said, maybe the northern route has more opportunities for more diving - I think the sites are also closer so there's less evening/overnight travel (I also would have been more interested in the wrecks up there tbh).

Have a look at the BSAC Egypt liveaboards. You’ll need to join BSAC as well.

I would recommend Emperor, been with them both in Egypt and Maldives and they are absolutely amazing.

I have been on the Aggressor (South) 3 times and the crew has been great. They run specials with a reduced price. Nice cabins. Good food. Since you are relative new to diving, I would suggest the southern route.
