A good hockey bag with wheels is what I use. works just fine for wheeling around airports and it doesnt advertise the fact it is holding scuba gear. thieves love scuba gear.

I just bought the Mares cruise backpack pro. A ton of room, weight will be the issue if filled. I also got the mares mesh for inside. I haven't had it on a plane yet but I really like it so far.

We have used wheeled duffle bags from Costco for travel for more then 5 years and they are still going strong. About 9 lbs each. We pack gear in the lower hard-sided section then stuff the top with clothes. They run about 40 to 50 dollars. Here is their current version.

Costco Wholesale

Its a balance between weight and protection. And wheels for convenience. We carry on the truely critical gear so if I could find something even lighter at a reasonable cost I would probably buy it.

I have the biggest Ogio rolling gear bag (9900 - not sure if they still make it). I've been using it since 2007 for traveling all over, including International. It's still in great shape.

I use the biggest Stahlsac mesh backpack for carrying gear onto the boat. I have been using it for almost 2 years and am still often amazed at how much gear it holds and still hasn't ripped. I throw all my gear, including stainless steel back plate, weights, fins, wet wetsuit, etc., in there and it holds and carries it all.

Hi. Scanning Amazon, I see SO many different equipment bags with a wide swath of ratings to hold all of ones diving gear: wet suit, mask, boots, BCD, Fins, Regulators etc, that its hard to decide. I'd sure welcome any recommendations from divers? Thanks in advance.

Hey John.

I use one of these
https://www.amazon.com/Apeks-Dry-75...UTF8&qid=1479098267&sr=8-2&keywords=apeks+bag

Has a second dry bag inside it so I can separate out my whites etc. It holds all my gear and my wife's quite comfortably, i use UTD fins which are quite short though. For regs and computers I have added one of these
https://www.amazon.com/Apeks-Dry-12...UTF8&qid=1479098267&sr=8-3&keywords=apeks+bag
which clips on the front or sides, bag can accommodate 3 total.

If you have longer fins or need more space, couple of my friends use these
https://www.amazon.com/Apeks-Dry-10...UTF8&qid=1479098267&sr=8-1&keywords=apeks+bag
they are pretty much bulletproof and carry anything you might need. They dont have wheels though but there are some super cheap trolley options to retrofit wheels to your airline bags etc.

Look at www.stahlsac.com they have gear bags for all your needs. I have one of the rollers bags that is about eight years old and has been drug all over the world and is still going strong.

I own a Stahlsac also. Probably about 8-9 yrs old and it is still in excellent condition. No rips, nothing broken. Stainless zippers. Real leather. Excellent heavy duty construction. It's been on many trips and is still in great condition. I'd rather pay more to get a good bag that will last longer... On one trip to the Caribbean, my friend's bag came out in pieces with laundry coming out of the conveyor piece by piece. He always bragged that he could buy 3 bags for the price of one of mine but when your cheap bag decides to bite the dust, it might not be very convenient.

I personally have an Akona bag on wheels, really nice and well padded, with fin pouches on the side. I use it for travel. As well I like the North Face Basecamp duffle. It is water proof, has a harness to use as a pack and is very durable.
