Can anyone suggest sources for bourdon tube depth gauges and capillary depth gauges? These are mainly for demo purposes for AOW classes. Thanks.

Ebay is likely you best bet but it would be easy to build a liner cap gauge. I have some tubing for the purpose if you need a few inches. Just measure one for the scale and lay it out on a piece of plastic marked with a sharpie.

Steve:

Had the dive center check with Suunto and was told no availability for the SM-16. But I could build one from their parts. ???

Will have the dive center look in to the Trident cap gauge.

Thanks

Building one is nothing. Just plug one end of some tubing with aquaseal, glue or clamp it to a piece of plastic and draw a scale on the plastic. That is all the old cap gauges were, just in a curved scale to fit the wrist although I do recall seeing one linear model. I have restored (and use) several of them...which is why I have the tubing...had to buy 25 ft of it.
