Have you seen this November, 2006, review of computers in Scuba Diving? It says the displays of all the reviewed computers are easy to read. It doesn't say they would be for you, without glasses....Quatro:Any other geezers out there find a computer with nice large numbers and icons that I could read without my reading glasses? Nothing fancy, reasonable price. Would be nice if it had a descent light too.

Another thing to consider is a computer's decompression algorithm. Older folks are more prone to DCS, so the relative conservativeness of a the algorithm, or whether it can be set to be more conservative, might be important to you. For some straight-forward profiles, Scuba Diving graphed the algorithms in the computers it reviewed. Here's the graph:

FWIW, I have two computers, a Cobra and a Vytec, which I view through the prescription lenses I described in a previous post. The displays (they're identical) and all other aspects are excellent, and the algorithms are "conservative."
