Guys,

i have managed to find a rechargeable CRV3 (RCV3) in Indonesia with the brand, Maliba. However the seller who sold me the battery was saying that a new CRV3 will last longer than a fully charge RCRV3. Is this true?

Thanks in advance

Yes it's true. The actual non-rechargable ones last about twice as long as the rechargable. However.....you can only use them once!

Thanks for the info, and another disadvantage of CRV3 as compared to RCRV3 is that the cost of the battery is slightly cheaper than the rechargeable one. The Crv3 in Indonesia cost about US$ 7 while the RCRV3 is about US$ 10.

Yes, that's true. However they both last a LOT longer than AA batteries. Normally if I go on a trip like a liveaboard I'll put one set of normal CRV3's in to start with and then use the RCRV3s when they finish. Doing 21 dives over 6 days I normally have to only recharge the RCVR3s once or maybe twice. That's using a Oly C5050.
