We're around $1.00 CDN/cf of He.

My cost on the stuff assuming no waste and excluding bottle rental is about $0.60, so $1.00 is more than fair and should probably be higher.

It used to be that I'd say, "what's that, like $.17 US," but these days I'm more apt to say, "what's that, like $1.70US?"

You would be amazed at how much more you remember.
Because, even when you think "I am not that narced" ... you are that narced.
dont interprete things into my posts i did not say! i never made a "narced factor" claim in any way. i am well aware of the fact that i am narced even within the deep ends of rec limits (even if i / we dont notice / realize it). we do many dives down here (due to unavailability of appropriate gases) on air to 200+ft (i thought i got over that many years ago) and deal with outlandish deco in top of it due to the lack of readily available nitrox / o2. now, dont scream, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT TO ANYBODY! and i am very well aware of the potential risks involved. its a personal choice! we have enough aborted dives to that depth range due to narcosis and buddies that think they are not and need to get forced into aborting. its kind of sad. just to give you some facts - jamaica in whole has ONE! divecenter at this point that has a working nitrox station (there is one more - not operating at this point to my knowledge). i work with friends of mine right now to get another set up at their dc, which will be also capable to blend trimix in a safe and reliable manner. will be realistically not happen for another 6 month.
jamaica is surrounded by deep walls that just scream for tech and deep diving. most of the spectacular divesites around here are actually in a range for deep air (not allowed by local regulations) and trimix (will be another fight with non diving desktop warriors). its basically like other countries "way back" when nitrox and trimix started to get into use witha small group of "crazy people". so you revert back to "alternatives" - or consider "possible" dives due to lack of "normal" choices. possibly the main reason why i just gasp about "rectek" trimix :). they possibly will have the reefs here completely destroyed before trimix will become a "legal" option!

anyway, i apologize for semi-capturing the thread, so back to rec trimix i guess ;).

For our Halifax trip it looks like we will be paying somewhere around $70 Can a T
