I always do a bailout drill every time before my CCR dive. I put the BOV lever to the bailout position which is downwards, and I do a bailout drill, nice nice. However, after I got back to my loop and flip the BOV level to close circuit mode, I noticed there was tiny bit of water on the right exhale side of the loop. I then raise the loop hose so the water successfully vented through OPV. Everything was perfect after that.

Is the BOV completely sealed from water when in the open circuit position? Or it is normal to have small amount of the water go in the loop?

Thanks

Mate water should only flow in through mouthpiece and out the O/C double exhaust, but air is better

check your barrel Oring, sploosh some extra silicone around
