i am getting my gopro 3 black today for our trip to Coz first week of March.
We are not deep divers, 80 - 30 feet normaly, I am a reef guy

After hours of reading, here are the accessories I have decided to go with for starters
Am I insane or on track, wait, we know i am insane how do my options look?

The BlurFix3™ SO ftrng. the CYD Dome filter
Battery two pack with charger
Scandisk class 10 32 gig
This Handle
Or this one
Aquapod

I know at some point go with lights but that will come later.
Plan to shoot 1080 P 60 frames Protune on White balance raw

Edit with Premier pro

Any comment appreciated

The Aquapod will be more versatile. But if you plan on ever adding lights- get a real tray like this one: Shop SRP Tray

Surprised you don't have a filter on your list.

If you have a few more hours you could read the entire filter debate thread.

Top side, maybe, but not the best choice for diving. You're better with screwing the tripod adapter on a short PVC pipe with a cap, will cost you less than a third of that price and do the same. I'd recommend to buy/make either a tray (stable, can attach lights) or longer pole (can get closer to subjects, self shots, can be retractable).

Get anti-fog inserts too before you go.

I would go with a diffren't handle its not easy holding something thats on a straight pole its nice to be able to use 2 hands so you can keep it steady. Don't worry if the video is upside down you can flip it easy. Above water roll the pole over and let it hang down it's easier to hold.

I would recomend the battrey backpack and the extra battrey charger it's allot nicer knowing you can do longer videos it lasts about 90 minutes with the battrey back pack on it. Make sure you turn wifi off when you use it don't want to drain extra power.

I prefer to use my monopod made by QuikPod.. It's pretty much identical as the one in your link. If you are a good diver with good buoyancy skills, it will not be difficult to take decent footage... The one thing I like about the monopod is that you can flip the camera over and take video of you and the people behind or either side of you while diving too..Just another perspective...The only issue is that you cannot add lights when using a monopod...

The link at the bottom of my signature is a video I made using the Quikpod..
