I didn't say pink gear was gay. I said this thread is gay. This whole debate over whether pink dive gear is manly or not, is GAY. Why don't y'all start discussing if diving on Nitrox improves your libido.

If you want to wear pink dive gear, go ahead, no it doesn't make you gay. But we'll all laugh at you and you'll look like a dork.

I think the point we are trying to make is, pink does not make you gay, but the folks who laugh at pink are insecure, immature, and need counseling.

Oh, I see, you are a college student.

trtldvr:
Just for the record, I am Mr. Pink Diver. That is the name that everyone on our Sherrifs Office dive team calls me by. I very securly wear a pink tinkerbell bandana that my daughter gave me.

tinkerbell rules!!!

:bic:

: bic : (omit the spaces & you will produce what I did.

.
One night at the Halekulani Hotel in Waikiki, I even got to dance with one of the two female stars of Pinku Lady. She and her her mom were so short next to me that I just picked them up so I didn't have to bend over so much. There was other stuff that happened that night, but geez, none of you want to know it.

We might but you wife might not.. :D

Who is "we?" Do you have a mouse in your pocket? The point i'm trying to make is this discussion is stupid, and you can do what you want but you can also look like an idiot if you want. Go ahead and wear your pink wetsuit on the dive boat. I'm sure nobody will find it odd.

Oh, i see... you're a presumptuous, arrogant and condescending asshat.

Actually I just think you're a troll. I'm surprised you didn't make this a poll.

You said I was an asset? Thank you for the compliment!

When the number of your logged dives catches up to the number of your posts, hopefully you will have achieved a degree of experience, maturity and wisdom, both in diving and in life, to avoid spraying insults indiscriminately.

It wasn't indiscriminate. It was very discriminating. I even quoted the person i was singling out. Did you feel left out? I'm sorry.

**MOD POST***

Let's not get into labeling here, please. We are all divers & we love to dive. Likewise, we love to talk about diving/gear/training/etc. The colour of our gear is irrespective but can be fun to joke about- as long as it does not digress into labeling with the intent of putting down particular groups. i.e- I am blonde-... but love good blonde jokes. :marvel: The litmus test is a subtle one- is it humorous without attacking various groups based on stereotypes? Is the intent to wound or isolate? We are an extremely divers cultural cross section on SB & we, a staff, always attempt to review posts in that light.

While this is an extremely gray area, please attempt to do your best to stay within the confines of civil discussion & joking. The bottom line question becomes- "Is this something that I am comfortable saying in front of a group of people or directly to someone when face to face?" If not, this is best kept off of SB.
