ok, I did a search for rash and found nothing similar...I seem to develop a rash on my extremeties, typically my fingers after exposure to salt water. I'm not just talking about the ocean but, also my personal swimming pool (since it is a salt water system at approx. 3200 ppm salt). The rash looks similar to poison oak or ivy, localized on my fingers near the last two knuckles...it is small blister type festules between the layers of the skin...quite itchy and annoying...

Does anyone know what this is...is it an alergy to salt water...a condition that can be controlled by the application of a topical steriod or other cream...

It seems to get worse with each exposure to salt water...last few trips to Cozumel it was evident but, only after serveral days diving...now it has shown up after only one time in my backyard pool....HELP!!!!

Thanks in advance for your comments and thoughts, by the way...my wife is a healthcare professional and has no idea what this is...

Scubadoc....

I experienced the same thing in Bonaire....but....can it possibly be also associated with some kind of reaction to sun?

I havent dove in 5 months now and when it gets hot the backs of my hands itch and while not as bad when I dive, I get the little red bumps.

Would wearing some kind of light glove in the sun or while diving help the situation?
Thanks
