So this weekend is the last that the quarry is open for the season...

and I forgot, up until about 10 minutes ago, that my idiot coworker is going out of town for the weekend, which means I'm on call this weekend. So no diving for me.

I hate that guy.

I need suggestions (affordable ones) for the long, dark, dry days ahead.

Or two more: Road Trip

....It's only 18 hours each way from northern PA to central Fla!

Oh - yeah - "Shadow Divers" is the name of a new best-selling book. Check Amazon.com . You might have a tough time getting it, though - they're in short supply.

If you can't find that, try "Deep Descent" or "The Last Dive." "The Last Dive" is about Chris and Chrissy Rouse (same topic as "Shadow Divers"- or at least, they're in "Shadow Divers") and "Deep Descent" is about the Andrea Doria shipwreck.

All highly recommended.

"Piqued interest", those books started to limit mine. They remind me that I am mortal and even when you think that you know enough, you may not come back from a deep trip. They also remind people that arrogance can be a fatal disease.

Okay so I can't spell :06:

My morning commute reminds me everyday that I am mortal. I just don't want to let fear hold me prisoner either. I hope to find the balance between adventure and safety...if that can be done.
I hope I will always remember how much I don't know.
