I want to secure my reg/long hose to my upper D ring to keep it more secure pre/post dive. I have a SS clip and am wondering if just sliding it on the hose is best (it would slide freely), or if I should use an o-ring or or tie or something else to secure the clip to the hose. If so, how far down the hose would I secure it? The text and pictures on Bob Cooper's site recommends cave line to secure all clips. It appears the clip hangs right next to the reg in the pictures. Currently I am using a heavyduty o-ring to secure my SPG to my lower D ring and it seems to work well. Just wondering if that is the best plan for the reg as well.

What would be the best way to configure the reg/hose clip?

i use cave line to tie the clip to the hose, right next to the second stage

burn the end of the line after you cut it, to prevent fraying
