I am converting my ScubaPro Mk19 from yoke to DIN. I am questioning what is this O-ring for? I think it’s an extra wheel retaining O-ring?? The kit already has an o ring retaining the wheel installed. I know where the small Oring goes but where does this one go??

It looks like an extra wheel retaining O-ring but I have never done the conversion myself so I don't know

I did the Mk 19 conversion from yoke to DIN this past summer, and have used the reg in its original configuration and extensively with its DIN configuration. The O ring that came with the DIN kit is simply an extra. I'll be converting back to yoke when I travel to Dominica this winter. Very easy.

Ok great. That is what I figured. I converted it and checked it under pressure and all was good.

Yes its just an extra retainer oring. Keep it for later in a plastic bag.

I might need to stand corrected… gqllc007 I cannot clearly see on the pic. There should be another groove below the retainer. Does it have an oring in it? If it does not this goes in that grove.

What I remember is this: There is indeed another groove, and the said o-ring fits in it, but once you put it there there is nothing the o-ring would seal against hence it will be just siting there doing nothing.
See the schematic below:

O-ring #12 is used to retain the knob (part #11) and o-ring #14 is used to seal the whole DIN assembly to the body of the first stage. No other o-ring is shown.
If I remember correctly, if you place that extra o-ring to the grove it will sit somewhere along the (plastic) saddle (#13) doing nothing much as the saddle and the knob are exposed to water from both sides anyway.

Very unusual for Scubpro to include a spare O-ring?
It's not included as a spare. The regulator comes with its own O ring, as does the DIN kit. Two separate items, really not designed to be used together in this switching Din to yoke and back again manner. The reg needs only one O ring, of course, so you wind up with a spare, but that was not the intention. The yoke regulator and the DIN kit were not intended to be complimentary.
