Questions about Cabo Pulmo diving in late March

Hi,

I'm thinking about taking my family (wife + 2 daughters) to go diving in Cabo Pulmo during spring break (late March). I'm thinking about spending a week there ( days of diving). I've search this forum but couldn't all the information that I'm looking for so I'm posting my questions here.

- Is there any transportation services from Cabo San Lucas to Cabo Pulmo and back? I've read that people renting a car and drive from CSL. However, for the 4 of us with our diving gear, we will have to rent a minivan and I don't want to drive a minivan down a dirty road for miles.
- What is the diving temperature in March? We all have 3mm wetsuits. Is hooded vest needed?
- Any recommended dive op? Does it have diving/lodging package?
- Do lodging accommodations have air conditioner?

Hello! I will try to answer your questions based on my previous experiences there.

- For the first question, you can rent a minivan service from the San Jose del Cabo to Cabo Pulmo, you can google "San Jose del Cabo to Cabo Pulmo transfers" and you are gonna get several options, some even offering round trips, you just choose the days, from Cabo San Lucas there is probably options but Cabo San Lucas is a bit farther away than San Jose del Cabo and the major airport in that area is located in San Jose del Cabo.
- I'm not sure about the specific diving temperature in march but in May I used a 5mm and I was comfortable, some dives I felt like I could have used a 3mm but considering its 2 months earlier and closer to winter a 5mm is recommended, hoods might be useful. It really depends on what you and your family are used to.
- There are a couple of dive operators, most offer lodging/diving considering the only thing to do in Cabo Pulmo is scuba diving. I've gone with Cabo Pulmo Beach Resort and they offer packages that include diving with stay. I know there are a couple of other operators that work the same so I would suggest you open google maps and check which ones are available and what they offer. The one I mentioned does have air conditioner in their rooms.
