Wheezy, be careful, there are substantial differences between the Faber 100 and the PST 100. The Faber is much heavier and approx 7 lbs negatively buoyant vs the PST at -1.4 lbs. Be absolutely sure what you want. The Faber tank, although high pressure, comes with a 3/4 pipe neck. This means either yoke or DIN can be fitted. I recommend the THERMO yoke valve with 5000 psi blow plug (standard aluminum tank). The obsolescent PST comes with a 7/8 machine neck which will only accept a DIN valve. This CANNOT be converted to yoke without machining the valve. The PST tank has been discontinued and will be replaced with a 3442 psi tank of 100 cf capacity (vice 102 cf) and 3/4 neck. The buoyancy will be same as the old tank. A yoke valve can be fitted but not necessary as the PST valve is yoke convertible DIN.

Don't worry about the Thermo/regulator joint leaking under normal use, it won't. The higher the pressure, the stronger the lock up. Hit the reg with a baseball bat and the joint might leak. If you decide on a DIN make sure it is not the slant back type. Get one with a vertical posture. This will enhance draining a little bit. And yes, if you hit it with a bat, it probably won't leak.
