Tried again today. The only major problem was a blowout due to me forgetting to open the P- valve bolt. Did a little readjusting & resticking & it worked flawlessly.:cool2:

And Kathy, one thing to consider is that even if you have total success on land (not hooked up to the p-valve), you still have to be patient with it when you are plumbed. Unfortunately, the tubing and valves and bolt and everything else between you and outside of your suit adds a lot of resistance....so you have to be patient and not try to force it out too quickly....otherwise leaks happen.
Finally getting to the point where I can do it underwater. Hopefully one day I'll be able to do it when I'm on the trigger
Great to hear Nicole! Your success gives me hope! My beloved suit is going in for it's pee-valve implant operation next Monday - Wish me luck !
Thanks everybody for all the great info!!
YAY!!!!!!!!!!! i'm so happy to hear that!!!!! congratulations! now comes the hard part... remembering to pee when you are not hooked up!
Let me suggest not wearing your Thinsulate undergarments while you're getting used to the she-p and p-valve....or if you need your Thinsulates, add a Depends between the she-p and the undies. I would have thoroughly ruined my Thinsulates if I had been diving them while learning.
I dived the Thinsulates on Monday when I had success....very excited about that
No choice on wearing Thinsulates here, so will go for a back up plan. But have high hopes!
I just re-read this whole thread for advice.
Now I'm curious, did you figure out the issue? What was it?
