I've been involved in 3 DIR classes in one capacity or another, and the message was clear-
They were not selling or advocating for ANY particular equipment manufacturer. As long as the equipment met the requirements, the instructors did not have a problem with it. They don't care if it's Halcyon, DiveRite, FredT, or whatever.
