You will get lots of replies, but bottom line is that it is honest, safe and above board. They are not "authorized dealers" so they sell below MSRP. But they do guarantee their products 100% and I can attest to that. Board members also very fond of http://www.scubatoys.com so you should check that out too. The one drawback to online purchasing is that you'll have to plan ahead and mail your equipment in for service and wait for it to be returned. Not a problem, just have to plan ahead like you would do with everything else in life. Many local dive shops (LDS) aren't too happy to service gear bought over the internet.

They are safe to buy from. I have purchased from them before. I had problems with shipping last time but I would give them another try. I would talk to your local store if you have one first (I do not have one) because they seem to be working with people on prices more and more. I have not had a problem with anything I have bought from them so I cannot tell you about warranty service.

Biggest downside of Leisurepro is most LDSs hate them. Some will even blackball a customer they believe is doing business with LP. So be careful talking to your LDS.

Checking their website out, it appears they are a part of the Better Business Bureau ... and appears to have a really clean record.

Good luck with your new purchase :)

FYI, LeisurePro are also an Amazon.com affiliated retailer - if you purchase through Amazon it gets fullfilled by LeisurePro. I understand Amazon vetts there vendors pretty well, and they've passed muster.

I have been a frequent happy customer of Leisurepro. That said, I would not buy life support equipment from them for two reasons. One, they carry gray market, i.e., not factory warrantied articles. You run into problems with recalls and LDSs are less likely to sevice. Secondly, my LDS will generally match or come close to matching prices on most items. I like to keep my LDS in business.

If I need something quickly that my LDS doesn't stock, I'll go to Leisurepro. (Again, except for regs, BCDs, tanks.) Otherwise, I keep my LDS happy!

I'm in NYC, so Leisurepro is local. They're discount retailers, and good ones, but not divers. Count on them to get you what you order, but know what you want first.

As others have said, they're not authorized dealers for most of what they sell. For that reason, I'd rather buy a reg from the LDS

I understand that some authorized retailers match leisurepro.com prices. You may want to check out scubatoys.com (I've haven't from scubatoys.com, but based on what I've read here I would not hesitate to do so).

I shop Leisure-Pro a couple of times a year for gear and accessories such as mask, snorkel, wetsuit, knife, light, bags, SMB, clips etc, which are real bargains compared to LDS prices, and they probably have more items in their inventory than all my LDSs combined. As folks above have said, even though their stuff is cheap, they're grey market - they have to do the warranty repairs on the gear they sell since the manufacturers won't honor the warranties on them. Not a problem for the stuff I purchased since they're unlikely to be recalled or need annual service by a pro, but I won't get regs and BCDs (and probably computers) from them for that reason. I get these from LDS or scubatoys.com, which is very good (in service and prices) as well.
Dive safely.
