Hi i am new to this board and fairly new to diving. I am french and my wife is english but we are currently working and resident in saudi arabia. We have been looking at insurance and are slightly confused as to which would be best for us. can anyone pass on their wisdom to us. We are both PADI certified and think maybe we should go for this..do they do a family pack will assist america cover us ?
Any advise would be great thanks.

Either DAN or PADI Ins would be good. I use PADI. Get info on both and then decide the level of coverage you need/want. Whichever you choose, make sure you have Dive Ins.

Thanks pilot fish..when looking at the PADI do i understand it right that i have to have membership of PADI (if not US citizen). Also will i have to use my european address or my saudi arabian address. gonna be here for at least 2 years.. . If i do it online does cover begin immediately? was hoping to get away in a couple of weeks

I cant get into the DAN europe link maybe some problem,
will try them later
thanks again

Almost sure you do not need to be a member of PADI - do you mean you have a different certification?, or PADI Dive Society. Use you current legal address. They can answer this online, I'm sure.

Mimoun, I just called PADI for you and they told me you do not need to be a PADI certified diver but you do need to be certified by some other equivilent agency. You get insured through Vicenia & Buckley - their number is 1-800-223-9998 Hope this helps.

I use DAN and have taken the chamber ride and they handled the claim with flawless precision. I am told PADI is also good. Look them both over and make the decision that is right for you.

Yes, both are fine . You can't go wrong with either one

NAUI now has diving insurance available as well. Coverage plans are available for $30, $60 and $90 per year. Go to www.naui.org and click where it says NAUI Diver and Travel Insurance. You don't have to be certified.
