My buddy Mike and I went down the wall were I lost my fin a few months ago. At 70ft, it was quite dark and we planned to do a quick look. Just as we were about to ascend to head for the WPA wall, I by chance spotted my fin. Nice to be re-united.

Diving was great in the quarry today. Vis was awesome and the best I’ve seen it. The quarry will still be open on weekends and next weekendOct 21st some scientists are going to visit the quarry to do some research on past life in the area. On the second dive, we saw the largest Bass I’ve ever seen in my life and a dead horseshoe crab a giant tire standing upright, and many more items. Turned out to be a nice weekend to dive the quarry.

The bottom in one area is real neat, its like your in a foggy land with the fog setting on the bottom and tree branches protruding from it, Like a scene out of a halloween setting. I whish I had a camera. You can descend 3 feet into the fog and you cant be seen and then come out of it to 20+ ft vis.

Yes Dave It made for an interesting day. It was about 10 ft out from the wall. Mike (Sharky1948) was real fun to dive with. Only after I posted this did mesage we find out who each other was.

The problem now is that you have one fin that has been submerged for ~2months and one that has been dry...that's a mismatched pair in my book! Good excuse to go out and buy a pair of rockets.

Have you seen those fins????? The quarry let it go to be RID of it? :)

Those were my favorite fins that took me thru lots of Beavertail dives winter summer spring and fall. I will soak the other one in my bath tub for 2 months then.

Mares Quattros keep going and going
