But... but... but...

I don't want to answer the original post! I just want to rant and rave, piss and moan, and argue with other people!

FLDiver - I bought my gear setup from www.ScubaToys.com. With the purchased I got the Delta III cdx5 reg, actually one for both my wife ane myself. The only catch is that they don't have them on their website, however give them a quick call and they are more than willing to order it in and get it shipped straight out to you. Another great note is that they even match leisurepro's prices if you ask them to and they have the factory authorized warranty. NOT the leisurepro half baked one.

I would like to point out... FLDiver first asked this question in 2002; FOUR YEARS AGO!!! The answers back then are no longer valid today. Then the web was still an untried deal. We were smaller than the leading Scuba magazine and the LDS was the only way to do business. The paradigm has indeed shifted, and the SMART LDSs (like www.ScubaToys.com and www.DiversDirect.com) have augmented their already busy shops with Internet sales.

Any way to automatically close threads that have been inactive for say 6 months. Otherwise we may just have to continue to deal with it. It doesn't really occur that often.

There is a way, but we don't mind them getting dusted off every now and then. Like this topic, there is a LOT of new information and revisiting it is good for all of us. Threads should die a natural death of neglect, and should someone want to crank her up again, then so be it!

If the subject is that interesting, a new thread can be started without have to go thru the march of the zombies first. I know folks have asked before to show the start date but tech admin has said that is not within the ready capability of the SW. We also don't appear to have the capability of jumping directly to unread posts as some other boards do. While it is mostly a minor distractor, the larger the board gets the more it occurs.
