Hi,

I'll be around Rincon and Parguera in a few weeks and am considering doing the Desecheo trip from Rincon (as well as some dives from Parguera). Are the Desecheo dives worth relatively high cost and long boat ride? Is it true that the conditions are pretty choppy?

Thanks!
Rich

Whether it is choppy or not depends on wind direction and speed, but since usually
your return trip (going southeast) is against the afternoon (stronger) wind, it is
wetter. It is worth the day since you won't find the same level (or size) of marine
life anywhere in the northwest corner of the island. Nevertheless, if you plan on
diving the walls in Parguera, you'll find it more appealling than the trip to Desecheo
and definitely more comfortable. Give my regards to Angel from Parguera Divers.
There is an account of our delinquencies in Parguera and Isabela in our web site,
address below. Enjoy your trip !!
