puerto plata (playa dorada) dive ops

hi all

anyone have any comments about dressel divers operation in puerto plata ?

my son is traveling there for study week and may want to do some diving. i think dressel is a short walk away and they did answer emails real quick. just looking for some input (good or bad) about that dive op.

if there are any other suggestions about shops in that area pls let me know.

btw.....i believe he is staying in the playa dorada complex. the hotel is the barcelo.

Dressel is known as on of the safest dive ops at the resorts in this country. So your son should be OK with them. In case he wants to try something more private, you can contact Merlin Divers in Sosua, about 20 minutes from Puerto Plata and they might be able to arrange transportation too.
