Ain't anything wrong with an AL80.

yes there is ..... i have been reading about the wonders of steel for two days now ..... got my hopes up and then they were dashed.... back to AL 80s

i would have been fine with that if i did not get all the info on steel tanks :depressed:

AL80s are great. Don't let anyone tell you any different.

The first tank I bought was a new AL80. It came with 20 free fills. I still use it.

As an alternative to an AL80, look for a LP72. You can probably find a galvanized one for about $50. If you can find a dive shop to slightly overfill them to 2700 they hold as much gas as an AL80, and IMO they're much more enjoyable to dive with.
