If you have any desire to get in smith lake in vidor, beware, surface conditions are misleading. We got in about 12:45 today, and while chilly, it was tolerable up top.....the max bottom we found was 18ft, and bottom temp dropped to 62 from a surface of 75.


Def. recommend heavy gloves and a full suit, it's a bit chilly!
