Why are you criticizing...?

Just because you seem to be the only people on this globe, to not be able to see that YOUR hometown crime is worse than those you will ever encounter, where ever you go.
You see the crime you encounter while traveling. But never see the same stuff, back home.

Crime is just AL over the planet, not just on your trip.

Geez, i think I'll move to the USA.

It seems to be CRIME FREE.

Can you all get real, there's no more crime on the islands, than in your home town.

Please get a life. Just common sence will do.

Also, I don't know if you've noticed, but we're not too popular on the International scene and all.

OK, it's personal then. I was curious. The suggestions are good, but there's always someone who likes to rock boats.

my home town of 200 folks doesn't have a stop light, police, or many people that can stay awake past 8pm. i'm quite sure there is more crime in any tourist destination than my home town.

the thread title is about crime when traveling. it is your assumption it only applies to islands.

Please provide an Interpol or some othe agency stat that says the US has worse crime than any place else.

It is a logical conclusion that tourists are a prime target for petty theft, anywhere in the world and it is good advice to be careful with yourself and your possesions when travelling, and yes even in the US.

How do you know? You don't live in my hometown. But if you did come to visit, you could read the list that caveman has taken the time to develop to make you trip safer for you and your property.:D

HOW could it ever be personal? We never met or ever will. Just a view on how the rest of the globe sees the US. ( Not just me, but europe in general) There is a whole world beyond the US borders.
