Suggestion profile should not default to "male"

It's been mentioned on numerous threads but I don't see it under support anywhere so - would it be possible for new profiles to default to something like "not specified" rather than male? Many people don't fill this out then other people get confused. eg. http://www.scubaboard.com/showthread.php?p=1869874

Won't help the existing profiles but at least new ones will make more sense.

everything defaults to male around here. better to just accept it.

what I find entertaining is when people accuse the person of trolling or lying because they say they are female but the profile says male. happens about once a week..
