Then again, he could also be talking about "Cyber Divers" whose gear is non-existent but whose opinions on all kind of topics is unavoidable... :shakehead:

This type of behviour is not limited to SB, every forum has its own Cyber Experts...

Sure, but if they could provide bull**** advice, what is stopping them from making a bull**** profile?

If you find something missing in my profile that you want to know about, just ask me. If I want you to know what it is, I'll tell you. Simple as.

I'm pretty sure there are a lot of cyber divers who also have considerable content in their profile, not that any of it is true. Either way, the posers are always easy to spot, with or without profiles.

If a person is soliciting information, it is good for those who might reply to know something of the person. Aside from that, it's just fluff. A person's post should stand or fall on its own. Spew is spew, no matter what the profile.

If they can't spot the bs advice, they aren't likely to spot the bs profile.

Quoted for emphasis. My thoughts precisely.

In addition, people use profiles to determine the validity of the post...:shakehead:

Well, looking at your nonexistent post count I guess we know what to think of your opinion! ;)

I didn't think you were Premier of Alberta... ;)

I was on for a couple years before I put something in there. It's not important to a lot of people.
